I suppose it’s little surprise that initially the data might be a little stale.

The entire US patent thing just scares me. I’m often surprised at what you can patent in the States.

But the best thing of all is we have someone to bring us the SE patent highlights :grin:

I’m really excited by the chance to read some of the older patents that aren’t presently accesssible in the USPTO database.

The patents that are included presently aren’t current – they end at the middle of the summer, but they are supposedly updating those, and supposedly will be doing updates to keep current with the USPTO. Searching at the USPTO is ugly, but maybe a little better recall – but this provides another way to get at information in a format that will be easier for most people to use.
