  1. Not good. I searched two different .com names and neither came back with any results. I know that in each of them I have owned them for a dozen years so there is at least 1 historical record. But the smack in the head was that even though it didnt return any data, the site dinged me for a search. So empty replies count against your daily 4 replies – pretty sucky if you ask me.

  3. As of 2017, the domain history it shows on whoisrequest.org is not very helpful. It basically just shows you the date someone changes the DNS records on a domain, and nothing else about it.

    Here’s an example of what the output looks like:

    I’m still searching for a free site that displays WHOIS history, but I’m having no luck. Just thought I would give you an update, as this shows up on Google when searching for “whois history” on the first page.
