I think that's a good thing, it might mean that there is still a flicker of a conscience there but they've still got Ashley blithely saying this in relation to RapGenius "I'm confident there was no special treatment. They got busted; they had a manual penalty, and from what I know – worked through it (they probably have a lot more resources than you do).If there was special treatment, like you – I'd be pissed. "

    The thread has now moved on to establishing the guilt of the site owner for doing things that have been recommended by Matt Cutts in the past.

  6. To wit, it is possible that rap genius took Matt Cutts advice and disavowed all the links from their program to show good faith and got back in quickly that way.

    But yeah, hands down they had some connection to get their request heard over others…
