  2. I've actually learned how to fly/film using the P1 by now. These things are just amazing.

I was speaking to a business network in Worcester the other day and I wound up demoing the Phantom for the estate agents in the crowd. Talk about blowing them away. :-D

  3. I'm massively impressed by the P2 Sasch.  I was able to test fly out of the box in 5 mins.

I've lots of new stuff for a ground station which I need to get hooked up, but I reckon the step up to the P2 from P1 is huge.  $869 for the entire P2+H2-3D gimbal set up.  Add $400 for Gorpo 3+ black and you have a pretty awesome aerial photo/video platform.

  4. I'm pretty sure I'll be upgrading to a P2 when I get back to the States in April. Meanwhile the P1 has done me proud when it comes to filming some of Cyprus' archaeology for a couple of my sites.

Does the P2 have a cradle for an FPV transmitter or will I still have to mess about with Velcro and stuff? Also… What are the extra goodies you've got there?

  5. iosd mini. 8" screen for ground station. New rX for ground station with 2 video outs.

There's no cradle for VtX SDI you still have to Velcro, but DJI now have there own video solution. And if you fall into a tub of money they will soon release a HD video link for $1.5k.

  6. Think I'll pass on the $1.5k HD link. ;-)

How many extra batteries are you getting? I figure two spares should do the trick, given the extended flying time.

  7. I got 1 extra battery. At $160 each they're not cheap.
