I think this was brought up in the Hangout with John Mueller – I can't remember what was said – I think John said he was going to pass it onto the webspam team….

Yep I saw that. I have a client in this space and it's annoying that Google penalises people for trivial anchor text but lets this rank after 1 month of spam. Feels like "churn and burn" is the new black.

Yeah, I did have to grin a bit while watching John's hangout yesterday, in another question he was talking about how they automatically pick up things along the way.
I can't see why they can't get some trusted volunteers to help push these things through a bit quicker for obvious cases like this.
