Quite interesting, and while it's very spammy, I think there's a certain amount of irony that Google complains about showing users ads…

Not like some of Google's ads are deceptively styled to look like regular results, or some of Google's SERPs showing virtually no organic links above the fold, or Google gradually creeping into profitable verticals with their own offerings which are ranked above everyone else…

The list goes on and on.  Everything's fine while it makes Google a buck.

I'd love to see one of these pages to check if the ads are coming from Google's feed.  Wouldn't surprise me at all, and would make this all the more ironic :)

  6. +Jim Munro did I mention how we were once told not to run ranking reports, but instead use our analytics to see which keywords drove traffic?  Then Google provided "not provided" to protect everyone's privacy.  Oh, except if you paid for that data through Adwords.  Not to mention, that "not provided" had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the threat posed by remarketing.  No.  Not.  At.  All
